KEDARKANTHA TREK

DRIVE FROM DEHRADUN TO SANKRI BASE VILLAGE (198 KMS, 8 HOURS DRIVE)

This is the day you'll meet your fellow trekkers and the trek organisers.

You'll start the day early at 06:00 AM and drive from Dehradun to Sankri, which is the starting point for your trek.

After an 8-hour drive, you'll arrive in Sankri in the evening. Once there, you'll be introduced to your Trek Leader and the Support staff.

You'll check into your designated hotel or homestay. The rest of the day is at your leisure, allowing you to relax and prepare for the upcoming trek. Dinner will be served in the evening, and you'll spend the night in Sankri.

TREK FROM SANKRI TO JUDA KA TAAL (9050 FT, 4 KMS, 4 HOURS)

Your day starts with morning tea at around 06:00 AM. Following breakfast, you'll receive a briefing session from your Trek Leader.

The trek officially begins through a dense pine forest. The day's destination is Juda Ka Taal Campsite, which is at a lower altitude than the Taal itself.

Upon reaching the campsite, you'll enjoy lunch, and the rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure.

Dinner is served in the evening, and you'll spend the night at Juda Ka Taal Campsite.

JUDA KA TAAL TO KEDARKANTHA TREK BASE CAMP (9050 FT, 4 KMS, 4 HOURS)

The day starts with morning tea and breakfast. Your Trek Leader will provide a briefing about the day's plans. The trek continues towards the Kedarkantha Base Camp, taking about 3-4 hours.

After reaching the campsite, you'll have a warm lunch. The rest of the day is for relaxation and enjoyment, including activities like snowball fights and games.

Dinner will be served at the campsite, and you'll spend the night at the Kedarkantha Base Camp.

TREK TO KEDARKANTHA PEAK AND BACK TO JUDA KA TAAL (12500 FT, 9 KMS, 8 HOURS TREK)

You'll begin the trek to Kedarkantha Peak, setting off at 2:00 AM for an early start.

The group will ascend to the summit, where you'll witness a beautiful sunrise and take in panoramic views.

Afterward, you'll head back to the Kedarkantha Base Camp. Lunch is served at the campsite, and you'll enjoy a farewell bash as it's your last night there.

Overnight stay at Juda Ka Taal.

JUDA KA TAAL TO SANKRI BASE VILLAGE & BACK TO DEHRADUN (4 KMS TREK, 8 HOURS DRIVE)

After an early breakfast, you'll trek back from Juda Ka Taal Campsite to Sankri Village.

Upon reaching Sankri, you'll freshen up at your designated hotel and have lunch.

You'll then proceed toward Dehradun, aiming to reach by late evening.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

  • If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
  • If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
  • If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees
  • If trains or flights are cancelled, the initial amount is non-refundable, and any refund received from the transportation provider will be reimbursed.
The refund amount, as applicable, will be processed within 10 business days.

SAFETY & ITINERARY ADJUSTMENTS

  • Ensuring your safety is our top priority at Hodophile Geo Holidays. We retain the right to adjust the itinerary and transportation mode for all or part of the trip, driven by factors such as union concerns, government advisories, and restrictions.
  • Should there be changes to the itinerary or transport, travellers are expected to collaborate with our team and avoid causing disruptions that could impact the experience for fellow travellers negatively.
  • Hodophile Geo Holidays reserves the authority to conclude the trip for any traveller and their group due to non-cooperation or disruptive behaviour. In such cases, the entire amount paid will be forfeited.

CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL

  • Adjustments to your reserved tour may be necessary due to uncontrollable circumstances, potentially preventing us from fulfilling the tour as initially agreed.
  • "Circumstances beyond our control" refer to unforeseeable and unavoidable events, despite our diligent efforts to exercise reasonable care.
  • These circumstances encompass events such as war, airport closures, epidemics, natural or nuclear disasters, terrorist activities, civil unrest, industrial disputes, adverse weather conditions, Bandhs, national emergencies, and more.
  • We understand the critical importance of providing an exceptional travel experience and commit to making every effort to minimise disruptions, ensuring your journey remains enjoyable even in the face of such challenges.
